Episode 116: Welcome back to Real Health Radio. This week it’s a solo episode, but it’s a little different from my normal shows.
Typically I do a deep dive on a subject related to health, but this week I’m giving commentary on a subject I see going on a lot lately that I find to be problematic: tribalism. I cover the details about this as well as problems I see around groups and beliefs, and I also address how I think we can move past this as a society.

I have been pondering about this recently myself. Although tribalism has always been around its part of human nature , we’re living in such unprecedented times now with the rise of social media and technology at our fingertips group think is at a whole different level in my opinion.
Keeping an open mind and the ability to self evaluate is so important.
Thanks for airing this topic Chris I enjoyed listening to it and thought your recommendations were things we could all benefit from.
I wonder too about the personality aspect of this issue; some of us are more introverted and don’t feel comfortable in groups so we stick to doing things more on our own. Whilst extroverts get their sense of identity & energy from being connected to a group. I think this plays a part too.
I really enjoyed this episode because you touch on topics which people don’t necessary want to hear…. but they will probably benefit from doing so. For me personally I like hearing the contradicting beliefs people might have that go against the grain when in a “tribal” situation. It’s needed and necessary to keep things real. Don’t be afraid to speak your mind and your ideas, people might not agree every time but at least it gets them thinking!
